This week, PwC Australia began its largest ever transformation along the East Coast, opening its new Brisbane office at 480 Queen Street. With new buildings in Melbourne and Sydney also set to open, the move has involved careful consideration of the future workplace and client collaboration spaces: their look, design and the technology they incorporate.

Earlier this year, Adobe compiled its Work in Progress Report. Surveying office workers across the US, UK and India, the report – and accompanying infographic – revealed that technology is considered to be one of the most important factors for workers, beating food, office design and amenities.

According to the report, respondents viewed technology-enabled efficiency as crucial to their ideal future workplace, connecting them with their colleagues, increasing productivity and improving work/life balance. It also looked at attitudes towards new, paradigm-shifting technologies such as robotic process automation, showing that workers believe that just over half of menial office jobs will no longer be carried out by humans within 20 years.
