This is not so surprising when you consider that news, social media, music streaming and the like are often accessed via apps.
M-commerce, too, is an area ripe for retailers’ attention. Four out of five consumers use smartphones to shop, and 27% say they’re more likely to complete a purchase from a mobile optimised site. Whether or not they seal the deal on their device, data from Google also shows that the smartphone is a crucial asset in the journey to purchase: 82% say they turn to their devices to make a shopping-related search.
