A former writer and editor in the UK, Tan spent ten years at broadsheet newspaper The Sunday Times before moving on to editorial roles at dance music magazine Mixmag and fashion bible Marie Claire, where she cut her digital teeth on the freshly launched marieclaire.co.uk.

Since then Tan has freelanced for publications including The Architectural ReviewLonely PlanetMonocleDazed & ConfusedMiddle East Economic DigestMacWorld and Digital Arts magazine, as well as producing marketing and digital content for private businesses.

In 2011 she moved to Australia to take up the role of marketing and development manager for a Melbourne-based entertainment company. Now working for PwC, she is also the founder of sustainability project TalkPlastic (www.talkplastic.com).
