Duncan leads PwC’s charge to accelerate the use of open innovation within large private and public sector organisations to create better outcomes for citizens.

He is responsible for the development and growth of PwC’s Open Innovation Platform (www.openinnovation.com.au), enabling government and large corporates to scale up their open innovation programs and get the smartest people working on the right challenges.

Open innovation takes a proven ‘need-led’ rather than ‘idea-led’ approach, accelerating outcomes by combining the best of lateral thinking, design thinking, lean, lean startup and agile methodologies. Since 2013 PwC Australia has tackled more than 30 different problem statements in this way, across a wide range of industries including transport, tourism, financial services, agriculture, food, asset maintenance, health, data and emergency management.
